My name is Michael Kohn but you might know me as Otomakan.btc. I run www.cryptocurrency.consulting where I help individuals and businesses make the most of DeFi & Web3 technologies. (Check out one of my recent case studies here.)

Before I got into crypto in 2019, I worked in real estate and e-commerce, giving me a unique perspective on the crossover between traditional industries and the decentralized financial systems.

When Covid hit, I started a monthly Meetup group called Let's Talk Business to bring Santa Barbara's business community closer together. I've also been part of events at the Santa Barbara Blockchain Institute and the Los Angeles Crypto Yacht Club. 

In addition to being a crypto enthusiast, I have a passion for adventure. I've traveled throughout Europe multiple times and I've lived abroad – including a year spent in Germany, learning the language and studying with refugees from countries such as Eritrea, Syria, and Egypt.

When I'm not delving into crypto, you might find me practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, producing electronic music, or enjoying outdoor activities like ocean kayaking and hiking with my two favorite huskies, Kaya and Niko.
